English Level 4 - 2021

  My mind is always thinking in what is to come in the next days, months o years even. Probably is my anxious mind playing games but I'm a person who always live dreaming about what is gonna do next. For that in my four years in university I've been studying and working at the same time, because some dreams are a little expensive so I put some money every month in a bank account. Usually I use my savings for vacations but some time this savings literally save me in urgencies. If I think in a travel to the future, probably the first thing I would like to ask is if the Covid-19 is over. I really dream with the day when the authorities officially says the mask and all the other restraint measures are no longer necessary. Other thing I would really like to see in that travel to the future is if I'm in Canada. My dream is live in Canada and have a treatment for my disease in an affordable way to pay because in Chile is imposible for me to access to the medical treatment.  My min

 I sincerely have no idea about my dream job and maybe it is because I would like to do so many things related to journalism and at this moment I consider them all. I'm not a person who has a very clear idea about what job want in the future, but if I have the opportunity I would like to work in different areas,  maybe sports, fashion, travel or even in a communication department in some company. If I have to imagine myself working in sports journalism, I know in Chile it is very difficult if you are a woman but in my dreams I have the opportunity to be in Europe doing the cover of Formula 1 or UEFA Champions League. Another part of me has a seriously interest in fashion so I imagine myself on the backstage of a Fashion Week in Milan, Paris or New York. My favorite TV show is Grey's Anatomy, currently is the longest-running medical TV drama of all time with 18th seasons and renewed for a 19th season. Shonda Rhimes created the show in 2005 and it's still one of the most popular series on US television. Since 2017, Grey's Anatomy is in Netflix and is the third most popular streaming show in that platform.  At the starting years of the show, all the viewers and fans can noticed the show have a very small budget, less episodes for season and have just a few characters. Now a day, is a very spectacular TV show, with a big cast and sometimes have the appearance of singers or recognized actors in some special episodes. The reason why I love so much this show can be relative through the years, but this TV show have a very strong feminist perspective in their scripts, characters I could relate to, talk in an open and sincere way about psychological problems, and obviously the drama in every episode. A person who I would like to meet is the journalist and prize-winning writer, Svetlana Alexievich. This Belarusian woman (since 1991 before that date she was Soviet) was born in 1948, in a Ukrainian-Bielarus family who influenced her to be a school teacher but she started at a young age to work as a reporter for a local paper in Narovl.  Later she became in a professional journalist when she received her degree in Minsk University. One of the things why I admire her is the way she writes. At the moment, she has written essays, novels, stories and articles for different media, all of them with the particularity of being written with a big approximation to the real life. She helps the reader to almost be the principal character when they read what she wrote. It is fascinating how we can almost see with our own eyes the story she brings to us. Her work is so meticulous in the moment to take the reality to paper and that is not a simple thing to do, it requires passion and a big knowledge

 I'm a really big fan of music, concerts and every kind of thing with live music. In this oportunity the first song I want to talk is Still Breathing by Green Day. A couple years ago I was very sick, for at least six or eight months I had a very painful disease, and in all that time, any doctor can found what it was happened to me. And one day I get worse, in the morning I wake up and the other thing I remembered it was me in a white room in the hospital. In that moment so much feelings come to me, and for  lucky, a very nice nurse helped me. When I was calm down she asked me if I want something to do, maybe watch tv or my cellphone, she suggested I can listen music, and in there like a really twisted joke from life, the first song who appers in my playlist was Still Breathing.  The second song I want to talk, is Put your head on my shoulder by Paul Anka .  If I had the opportunity to choose just one country to visit without a doubt would be Thailand. This exotic destination is living rent free in my dreams so many years ago, and being honest I think is a place very affordable in the case I start saving money for visit like a tourist or maybe to live in there a few months. Probably so many people knows Thailand for the beautiful an idyllic beaches, one of the most famous are the Phi Phi islands, turquoise waters and white sands prove what I'm talking about. But in my opinion, if someone of us visit Thailand I recommend visit places more historical than touristic, in first place less people is better for photos, you can enjoy the temples or museums in a better way, and last but not least important Covid-19 changes our lifestyle, and travels are not the exception.
